FlippaBall Holiday Camp – January 2026
12–16 January · Outdoor Water Polo Pool, HPC Stadium · $50 per day

Kick-start the school holidays with five mornings of water polo fun in a safe, familiar FlippaBall environment. Players are grouped by school year and enjoy a mix of swimming, skills, games and mini matches – all fully supervised.

Time: 8:30am – 11:30am (gates open 8:00am)
Set-up: 4 pools, just like Friday night FlippaBall

Season 2025/26 FlippaBall season

Our popular Friday night FlippaBall competition will be back for term 4, in the Water Polo Pool at the HPC in Mt Claremont.

Key Dates:

    • Team Registrations are open now (see above) with players registrations planned to open early September 2025.


    We’ve got some BIG and exciting changes coming for the 2025/26 season! 🎉

    • Sunday Rounds + Sundowners! To work around Torpedoes’ Friday night fixtures, we’re introducing a couple of Sunday afternoon game days. These will roll straight into a relaxed club sundowner – the perfect way for players, families, and friends to socialise after some great water polo action.
    • Live Game Scoring In 2024/25, game scoring was a hit, helping us split teams mid-season for closer, more exciting matches. This year we’re taking it to the next level with real-time live scoring! Every pool will have a central scoreboard so players, parents, and supporters can follow the action as it happens.
    • Finals for EVERY Team + Personalised Medals! No matter where your team sits on the ladder, you’ll get a shot at a finals experience in the last round (1st vs 2nd, 3rd vs 4th, 5th vs 6th). Afterwards, every player will be presented with their own name engraved medal – a keepsake to remember the season and inspire them for the next! 🏅


    As always, the BBQ will sizzle and the Polo Bear Café will be available for refreshments.
    FlippaBall is a social introduction to water polo for boys and girls in years 2-6. The rules are modified, with the field, goals and ball reduced in size to suit the age of the participants. Players are able to form their own teams (10 players optimal) or be placed in appropriate teams. The pool is divided in to quarters.

    • Games have a 30 minute duration (4 x 5 minute quarters)
    • Held at 4.30pm, 5pm, 5.30pm, 6pm, 6.30pm, 7pm, 7.30pm, 8pm
    • Games are scheduled in the order shown below (youngest to oldest)

    Cost

    • Season 2025/26: $320
      UWA Water Polo Club accepts ‘Kids in Sport’ vouchers

    Ages

    • Open to children in Year 2 through to Year 6 (based on the 2025 School Year)
    • Recommended proficiency: Able to swim 20 metres freestyle and tread water
    • For 2025/26, we are considering boys, girls and mixed as team configurations.
    • The final divisions will be dependent on the number of teams nominated
    • Year 2/3 (boys, girls, mixed)
    • Year 4 (boys, girls, mixed)
    • Year 5/6 (boys, girls, mixed)
    • Part way through the season, each division will be split into A and B to ensure more even games

    Playing with friends

    There will be a section on the registration form where you can list your ‘preferred team members’ or an identifier for your team. Eg: Team ID, City Beach Primary Year 3s or team organised by John Smith. For extra security the team list can be emailed to Flippaball Admin We will do our best to accommodate all requests! .

    FLippaSwim (Training)

    FlippaSwim is a 60 minute, structured, water polo specific training session that develops swimming ability, balls skills, leg strength and team play.
    After school sessions are likely to be held on Monday and Wednesday afternoons (4pm to 5pm)
