District Schools Comp

Saturday Morning District Schools Competition (DSC)

The very popular Saturday morning District Schools Competition is an intra club competition played by girls and boys in years 5 and above, who have played FlippaBall or are capable swimmers. The DSC is about enjoying social water polo with friends. It is also a great way of gaining experience and progressing through to the Junior Metro League Water Polo Competition (JSL).

  • Flippaball "Come and Try" Sat 13 Sept, Sun 14 Sept, Sat 20 Sept (see Flippaball section more details)
  • Season Opens: Saturday 18 October 2025
  • Season Ends: Saturday 28 March 2026 (Grand Finals)

  • Team Registrations are open now (see above) with players registrations planned to open early September 2025.

    Parents & Players: What’s New for 2025/26

    • Every game will now finish with a winner! 🏆
No more draws — if scores are tied at full time, we’ll head straight into penalty shootouts (most likely best-of-three before sudden death) to decide the match. It’s fast, fun, and guaranteed to keep everyone on the edge of their seat — whether you’re in the pool or cheering from the stands.
    • Brand-new, high-quality caps for 2025/26.
Based on feedback from 2024/25, we’re replacing our caps with new ones that look great, fit better, and feel more comfortable — helping players focus on their game and giving parents the joy of seeing their kids looking sharp and playing their best.

Players from schools or districts are encouraged to nominate their own teams. Individually registered players will be placed in teams. Teams play a round robin competition with finals. The pool is divided in to halves for all DSC age groups

DSC players are encouraged to register for DSC Training to complement and improve their DSC game.

Recommended proficiency: Able to swim 50 metres freestyle and tread water
