History

The UWA City Beach Water Polo Club is an evolution of the City Beach Water Polo Club to become a member of the UWA sporting fraternity  that was confirmed at a special general meeting on Saturday the 17th of October 2015.

The City Beach Water Polo Club was formed by the amalgamation of two former clubs, Rangers and Flotsam. Both clubs had been in existence for only a short period and the decision to amalgamate was made for the mutual benefit of both clubs. Major reasons attributed to the amalgamation were to have a district orientated name, to promote junior water polo and to pool the resources of both clubs to form a strong and successful club of the future.
